worth it getting a set of fow?
well, i got my first three sets back when i could farm gold and the mats easily, now i play wow and want fow armor for my warrior to make my gw experience complete. im poor now (~100k) because i completely pimped my chars before i went to wow, except fow for my warrior
so my question is, do you all think its worth it to get fow for my warrior? and if so, how should i go about getting the gold/collecting the mats?

Elite missions will usually net ya some cash, but I think UW ectos is still the way to go. Now that ectos are around 10k again, you'll save money by getting them yourself and you can sell the extras for fair amount of cash.

You placed a 100k+80e bid on a colossal scimitar in the high-end sell forum. I don't think that you're too poor.
If you really want FoW that bad, don't buy the sword and invest in the armor.

So you're gonna buy FoW and leave GW immediately after that? Some people sure have a weird idea about 'closure'...
That having said: play the market, still the quickest way to earn cash.

Wouldn't bother myself, warrior FoW isn't all that great..I'd get Primevil over it.

I would say that FOW armor isn't worth it, because well its just armor... I only have one piece of 15k armor (Canthan warrior), and I'm pretty satisfied with it. FOW armor imho has lost all its prestige, and I always thought the leggins were pretty ugly.
Ultimately its up to you, and I hope your happy with your decision.
Good luck, and I hope you give GW another chance someday

@ OP, the true answer is - do you want Fow.
Yes - Get it
No - Use money else where
I would stop over to Guildwiki and look at all the warrior armor sets and pick the one you want.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Warrior_armor
If your asking other if you see FOW, what to do you think, my answer is this, you have money. Not skill, or ability to play, you just are wealthy.
I know some people earned with bloods sweat and tears, other did ebay, or they very good farmers / played at the right time.
If I were to party with you how you play your character/build tells me how good you are.
Again, if you get the "ahh, this is cool" feeling before I move on to Wow by all means go for it.

Any armor can look good if you know how to dye it right. And not all armor look good in black.

I suggest get it if you like it. I would never spend that much gold on armor i didn't like just to have it.
But also don't just listen to the "well everyone has it thing..." If you really like it and think it is worth your time, money and effort then by all means get it.

If you like the look of the stuff better than any of the other available armor out there, then go for it. Otherwise, don't bother.

Female Monk, Mesmer and Necro are the only FoW worth getting.

as good as FoW female monk is, I still prefer 1.5k Kurzick XDDD
but I can't trust myself getting FoW armor for certain characters as I have a habit of deleting my characters over silly things "i'm bored of her eyes now >_>"...(deleted about 16 15k sets now >.<)
BUT my monk is still going, still got her from 2005 xD so might get her FoW...
Although it's really up to you if you think you can spend that much on armor :P

Actually just about all armor from Factions on has a somewhat smoother and
better textured look to it than FoW I think, just look at someone ig real
close and FoW starts to look muddled, were 15k kurzick still has better
definition, imo.........
